Introduction

Using this technology unit, it is possible to observe the “science behind the magic” and really explore how electricity works.

Activity 1

How important is electricity to our lives? Use this activity to discuss our reliance on our electrical world.

Activity 2

Electricity can be dangerous. Brainstorm ways that students can remain safe while using electricity (requires Inspiration 7).

Activity 3

The process of understanding electricity begins with understanding how charges relate to each other. Use this activity to do just that.

Activity 4

What is static electricity? How can a balloon cling to a wall? Use this activity to explore what is going on at an atomic level.
