Comprehension
Problems
Language
comprehension is the ability to connect to and interpret both oral
and written language. It is the ability to recall facts, get the
main, idea, make an inference, draw a conclusion, make a prediction,
and evaluate. It is the ability to reason from language that is
heard and language that is read.
People
who experience difficulty in language comprehension understand only
bits and pieces of a message, even though they can hear, and in
many cases, read all the words.
The
Visualizing and Verbalizing Program is clinically proven to address
this problem. Each student receives 30 hours of individual instruction
over a three week time period. The student learns to create imagery
to remember important details about what they read and hear.
What are people saying about t he Visualizing and Verbalizing Clinic?
"I wouldn't even try to read my social studies book, because
it was so hard. My mom read it to me every night. Now, after being
in V/V, I know I can get through it, and I can understand it too.
I am more willing to try things that I always thought were too hard."
